WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN BRONX CREW?

No experience is necessary. The ideal candidate is between 9th and 12th grades. Due to the individualized attention, coaching, and networking opportunities provided, the size of the program is limited. However, we love to hear from interested candidates. Do not hesitate to reach out to us.

CAN I PARTICIPATE IN BRONX CREW IF I PLAY OTHER SPORTS?

Absolutely. Many of our rowers play other sports during the school year including football, basketball, baseball, etc. Bronx Crew is a summer program.

HOW MUCH DOES THE PROGRAM COST?

The program is free for the members of the team and their families, thanks to our generous supporters and partners without whom Bronx Crew would not exist.

DOES BRONX CREW HELP WITH COLLEGE RECRUITING?

Absolutely. Our intention is for all of our rowers and coxswains to compete at the collegiate level if they would like to. There are 80+ universities in the United States with varsity rowing programs.

WHAT IF I CAN’T SWIM?

There is no expectation that you will ever be in the water. The boats are designed to keep us in the boat at all times. However, for safety purposes and your peace of mind, if selected, we will get you the swim training you need which will help you for Bronx Crew and for the rest of your life.
