WE ROW FOR THE BRONX
Bronx Crew is a free college preparatory summer rowing program that serves Bronx youth who have entered high school without prior rowing experience. Our program is suited for those interested in playing sports at the collegiate level.
Our founding coach, a Harvard-trained Bronx native, believes that our youth deserve not only a place in the sport but a place on the podium.
The program is funded by our generous supporters who want to see Bronx youth win, on and off the water. Together, we all share the same “why”.
THE PROGRAM
Bronx Crew seeks to identify a select group (15-20) of highly motivated youth to train to become exceptional rowers capable of competing and winning at the highest levels of our sport, bringing that earned sense of pride and joy to their families, to themselves, and to their communities.

One of the most common questions we receive is that an interested student doesn’t know how to swim. Many of our candidates have no prior swimming experience.
Fortunately, boats are designed to keep us out of the water and there is no expectation that you will ever be in the water. However, for safety purposes and your peace of mind, if selected, we will get you the swim training you need which will help you in Bronx Crew and the rest of your life.
